From the time that foreign voyagers first plied the Caribbean Sea, the area has attracted adventurers, and in recent times, adventuresome scuba divers. With hundreds of islands, each with a special charm, the Caribbean and scuba exploration go hand-in-hand. You’ll find old wrecks, new wrecks, coral reefs, sheer walls, gentle drop offs and fabulous pinnacles to investigate. You can dive from shore, from dive boats or spend your days diving from a liveaboard. Warm, clear water, beautiful beaches and a laid-back pace make the Caribbean a good dive holiday choice.

DIVING IN MEXICO
Long considered a fascinating tourist haven, in recent years Mexico has become increasingly recognised as a world-class dive destination. When you consider the breathtaking waters of the Pacific coast and the delightful beaches, islands and bays of the Caribbean Sea, one can only wonder at the underwater riches that lie beneath.
Mexico offers all manner of scuba diving, from entry-level dives off sandy beaches, the awe-inspiring caves of the Cenotes, to great white shark and whale encounters in the Pacific. This popular vacation country really does have an embarrassment of riches.
With the USA to the north and Guatemala and Belize to the southeast, Mexico spans a huge area with many diverse land and seascapes. South of the U.S. state of California, stretches the long finger of Baja California from where scuba divers can access the Sea of Cortez and the Socorro Islands. It is this part of Mexico where you will find all the liveaboard operators. The east coast is lapped by the azure waters of the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea, where the Yucatan Peninsula and islands such as Cozumel and Isla Mujeres create a celebratory holiday atmosphere, both above and below the surface. Here the diving is resort-based.
Mexico is also a country rich in history and culture and you can immerse yourself in the historical world of the great Mayan culture by visiting Mayan ruins and visiting some of the wonderful museum displays from this era. Trekking, kayaking and beach bar-hopping are among the other popular pursuits among visitors to this exceptional destination.

DIVING IN CENTRAL & SOUTH AMERICA
Bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean on the east, Central and South America boast some of the world’s most biologically diverse habitats – above and below the surface. Dive Roatan’s walls, Belize’s Blue Hole, Costa Rica’s Cocos Island or Galapagos’ National Park – to mention just a few of the areas iconic dives. Some site are only accessible by liveaboard and others are just steps off the beach from your resort. Rich culture and friendly people add to a scuba diving trip to this region.

DIVING IN HAWAII
It’s the quintessential tropical vacation destination and, at more than 3219 kilometres/2000 miles from the nearest continental landmass, one of the more remote places on earth. Made up of hundreds of islands stretching across the central Pacific Ocean, four main islands stand out for most tourists – Oahu, where Honolulu is located, Maui, Kauai and the eponymously named Big Island of Hawaii. That remoteness pays off with some of the most pristine scenery, cleanest air and unique marine creatures on the planet. But, the US’ diminutive 50th state is also a land of contrast, from the fire of lava to the ice of snow-capped volcanoes, farmland and cities, waterfalls and sandy beaches. In short, it’s a Pacific paradise, particularly so for divers.

DIVING IN AUSTRALIA
Completely surrounded by water and rich in islands and reefs, Australia is a diver's dream. Our waters shelter a treasure trove of marine life, with more than 4000 species of fish and the world's highest diversity of sea grass. Swim with the giant, gentle whale shark on Ningaloo Reef or with sea-lions and dolphins on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula.
Learn to dive on Queensland's Great Barrier Reef - the world's largest living organism. Or snorkel in sheltered and scenic Clovelly in Sydney. Discover kelp-encrusted submarines off the Mornington Peninsula or a maze of underwater caves along Tasmania's east coast. Our temperate waters are calling, so come dive in.

DIVING IN FIJI
Fiji has some of the most colorful reef ecosystem on earth, which is why this South Pacific paradise is nicknamed the “soft coral capital of the world.” But, diving in Fiji has more to offer including wall dives, swim-throughs, caverns, canyons and incredible shark encounters. Shore diving, boat diving and liveaboard trips are all possible here. With more than 390 coral species, around 1200 fish species and five of the world's seven marine turtle species, it’s an underwater naturalist’s dream. Topside, Fiji has some of the most friendly and welcoming people on earth. With more than 300 islands, some large and mountainous, and others just sandy atolls, you’ll find exotic tropical adventures both above and below the surface.

DIVING IN ASIA
Scuba diving in Asia can take you to areas that host a greater variety of marine life than anywhere else on earth. You can dive in the South China Sea, the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean, or submerge in the area where these waters mix to form the epicenter of biodiversity – The Coral Triangle. Wreck diving on historic shipwrecks, wall diving on offshore pinnacles from a liveaboard or shore diving on a house reef are all possibilities when diving in Asia. The diving choices are as vast and exciting as the countries in this region.

DIVING THE RED SEA
European divers have long known that the Red Sea has one of the plant’s richest marine ecosystems. Every dive you make you will see large schools of reef fish, dolphins and sharks partroling wrecks and a wide variety of coral and spong species. Bordered by seven countries, the Red Sea is a cleft of deep blue water realitively isolated and has little fresh water flowing in. The 1,200-mile-long sea is saltier than most other bodies of water and features eccentric and colorful twists on Indo-Pacific marine life.
Whether you go north or south in the Red Sea, you can dive a diverse range of habitats. A northern itinerary offers wrecks and deep walls, while a southern one boasts beautiful reefs and coral seamounts. The diving is well worth the effort of getting to Egypt. Besides off-the-chart diving you get the chance to experience a Middle Eastern adventure while you’re there.
